INSTRUCTIONS

Device A this simplifies the customisation of the mouthpiece and prevents any deformation of the dispenser cavity.

Device B
(Lateral stops): these are inserted in the mouthpiece to maintain the optimum physiological thickness of material between the upper and lower teeth during customisation.

UP Symbol
:this indicates the correct direction for the insertion of the mouthpiece in the mouth (upper teeth).
Jax - Guide to customisation
1- Before customising the JAX, make sure that devices A and B are inserted correctly (fig.1). Then insert the mouthpiece in the mouth (the UP symbol facing the upper teeth), to build up confidence for the next steps in the procedure.
2- Take hold of device A and immerse the JAX in boiling water for 15 seconds, as shown in fig.2.
IMPORTANT! Do not immerse the mouthpiece beyond the line indicated (C) and do not leave it in the water for longer than the time indicated, as this could cause irreversible deformation to the JAX.
3- Shake off any excess water after removing from the boiling water.
4- Place the mouthpiece in the mouth immediately. It will be hot but won't burn (fig. 3). Clench the teeth and close the mouth. In this position, suck out all air and water for a few seconds to obtain ideal adhesion around the teeth. Massage the cheeks firmly at the same time with the fingers.
5- After around 2 minutes, remove the JAX and place it in a container of cold water for at least 3 minutes. Remove the mouthpiece from the water and remove the customisation devices A and B.
6- Insert the JAX in the mouth again, and if it is not sufficiently adherent repeat the customisation procedure from point 1.
7- On completion of the customisation, insert the JAX in the dispenser slot and fix in place with the band supplied.

Recommendations and Warnings

Any excess material that may extrude after customisation, can be removed using scissors. JAX can be reshaped several times. For this reason, always keep the customisation devices. Example: reshaping of the mouthpiece after operations that have modified the dental anatomy (orthodontics). Clean with a toothbrush, cold running water and neutral soap. Important: never use JAX with the stops inserted. Keep JAX away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Those suffering from diseases or inflammation of the teeth or gums, wearers of dentures or with their lower teeth protruding beyond the upper ones should consult their dentist before customising JAX.
